Tajik Technical University named after academician M.S. Osimi as part of the announcement of the “Twentieth Anniversary of the Study and Development of natural, Exact and mathematical disciplines in the field of science and education”, carried out a number of scientific and practical activities in 2023 as part of the university's action plan. During this period, the university held 9 scientific and practical conferences at the national and international levels, in which students, applicants and scientists actively participated, and published the results of their research papers.
It should be noted that along with the publication of articles in the materials of scientific conferences and journals of the university, the activity of university scientists in publishing scientific articles in international peer-reviewed publications such as Scopus, Web of Science and others is very significant. Over the past year, university professors have published more than 40 articles (Scopus, Web of Science, etc.).
According to the Webometrics Ranking of Universities World, known as the Ranking Web of Universities Tajik Technical University named after academician M.S. Osimi has been included in the list of the best universities in Tajikistan for high indicators in recent years, such as external reviews of scientific articles, the official website of the university and others. This ranking is published annually based on a study by the National Research Council of Spain (CSIC), located in Madrid. The purpose of the rating is to increase the attendance of educational and research institutions on Internet sites and to promote the open publication of the results of scientific research by teachers and students.
Thus, in January 2024, the National Research Council of Spain (CSIC) published its new rating, according to which the Tajik Technical University named after academician M.S. Osimi ranks first among higher educational institutions of the republic and is ranked 5415th globally among more than 31,000 universities and institutes in the world (Universities: January 2024 Edition 2024.1.1 beta), which is 101 steps higher than last year.
