The procedure for admission to Tajik Technical University named after academician M. S. Osimi:
1. Reception of documents for foreign students, who wish to study at TTU named after academician M.S. Osimi starts from July 20.
2. After verification of documents by the admission committee on compliance with requirements, the foreign citizens could be allowed to an interview.
3. The Admission of foreign citizens is carried out with an interview, by the members of the admission committee, the representatives of faculties, and the representatives from the linguistic and theoretical departments.
4. After an interview, if the results are positive, by the Order of the Rector, full payment of the tuition fees for the academic year and signing a bilateral agreement between the University and the foreign citizen, a foreign citizen officially can be enrolled in the ranks of students. In the case of violation of the payment term, the student would be excluded from the university.
The list of documents for the admission process in TTU named after academician M. S. Osimi:
- Personal application of applicant to the name of rector with indication of the faculty and language details (in which group you will study: Tajik or Russian);
- Certificate of completion of the general educational school (the original one);
- Medical certificate of medical health, absence of HIV/ AIDS virus, with official registration issued by the official health authority of the sending authority (the original one is required);
- Fluorography with the doctor's report (original);
- Certificate of state accreditation of an educational institution where the citizen has been educated (a copy of the certificate and notarized translation);
- Copy of passport with visa and valid registration (during the stay of the Republic of Tajikistan), migration card;
- 8 color photos (3x4 cm).

HOW TO GET AN INVITATION?
To get an invitation the following documents should be sent by e-mail to International Relations Office (interdept@ttu.tj):
- Scanned copy of passport (page with photo);
- Scanned copy of previous education document (high school certificate, Bachelor’s degree certificate, and with supplement or transcript of records);
- Application form;
After getting the visa, an international applicant must buy a ticket and arrive in Tajikistan not later than 45 days before the visa expiry date. An international applicant should also inform the International Relations office (interdept@ttu.tj) of all details concerning his arrival to the Republic of Tajikistan (date, time, flight, etc).
DOCUMENTS FOR ADMISSION OF INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS:
1) The original and copy of previous education document (high school certificate, Bachelor’s degree certificate);
2) The original and a copy of the diploma supplement or transcript of records;
3) An international passport of a foreigner or any other document that identifies a stateless individual with an O-type visa (O-1) for the countries with visa procedure of entry issued by consular offices of the Republic of Tajikistan in a home country based on an invitation letter;
4) Medical certificate of medical health, absence of HIV/ AIDS virus, with official registration issued by the official health authority of the sending authority (the original one is required);
5) 8 photos (3x4) on matte paper;
! The documents referred to 1 – 3 of this paragraph shall be translated into Tajik (or Russian) language and approved by a notary.
HOW TO PREPARE FOR ENTRANCE EXAMS
The Admissions Committee organizes entrance exams for foreigners in the following subjects:
- Russian (or Tajik) language;
- Professional discipline (physics, mathematics, etc.).
We recommend an in-depth study of these disciplines during preparation for admission. Entrance exams are conducted in the form of testing and interviews.
In case of insufficient Russian language, there is a possibility of enrolment in language courses for foreigners without passing entrance exams.
TUITION FEE (2024/2025 academic year)
Tuition fee is fully established in national currency:
- For Daytime Students from 5300 to 8300 TJS per year.
- For Distance Learning Students from 2700 to 4755 TJS per year.
- Language course: 5300 TJS.
Visa Support
The department carries out activities related to registering foreign citizens and extending visas for 1 year. TTU named after academician M. S. Osimi cooperates with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Passport-registration service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.
- Every foreign citizen, for admission to TTU named after academician M. S. Osimi should write an application addressed to the rector of the university. After acceptance of the application by the rector, the Department of International Relations undertakes to send an invitation;
- Based on this invitation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and their representatives in foreign countries (the Embassy of RT) obtain the entry visa for foreign citizens to Tajikistan;
- Based on a bilateral intergovernmental agreement on visa-free entry to Tajikistan, the citizens of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan have a free entry regime;
- Documents of foreign students are submitted to the Migration Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan for a one-year renewal of registration. For students who apply for recovery and admission, temporary residence permits are provided.
According to the law, within 10 days after entry into the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan (except off days), foreign students have to bring all the documents to the Department of International Relations of the University to submit to the appropriate authorities. To renew the visa, you have to present your documents 30 days before the expiration of the previous year's visa.
To obtain or extend a visa, the following documents are required:
1) Copy of passport;
2) 2 photos (5x6 cm);
3) 2 copies of the registration card (Form 16);
4) Certificate of absence of HIV / AIDS;
5) Copy of the student card (in color format) - to extend the visa;
6) Copy of the record book (in color format) - to extend the visa;
7) A copy of the order of enrollment to the university (in color format), and a copy of the document of the transfer from course to course;
8) A copy of the agreement between the university and a foreign citizen.
