Zoirov Khusain Abdurakhmonovich, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department

Along with the creation of the Technical (Polytechnic) University of Tajikistan (1956), the department of "General chemistry" was established. In the beginning there were only two teachers and two laboratory assistants at the chair. The first head of the chair A.S. Sulaymonov made a great contribution to the formation of the chair. Heading the chair from 1956 till 1963 years, he made a great fruitful work in development of the chair. During his tenure, he invited a young specialist Candidate of Chemical Sciences Associate Professor O. R. Kurbanov to work.

  From 1963 to 1964 the chair was headed by Candidate of Technical Sciences H. L. Kholmatov.

From 1964 to 1978, the head of the department was candidate of chemical sciences, associate professor O.R. Kurbanov. While supervising O.R.Kurbanov, the chair achieved many significant scientific and methodical achievements. At this time the department began its labor activity such young, talented specialists as Sharipov D.Sh., Shojmurodov I.B., Hakimov S., Nazarov K.N., Badalov A.B., Abdukodirova S.A., Safiev H.S., Mirsaidov U.M., Kamolov G.K., Sharipov A.Sh. and many others. They effectively working in the field of science successfully defended their dissertations in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.

In 1978-1983 years Candidate of technical sciences, associate professor Ya. С. Samiev worked as the head of the department. During this period Badalov A.B. defended his candidate thesis. Also for this period teachers of chair have been made by large scientific and methodical work.

From 1984 till 1992 candidate of engineering sciences, associate professor B.S.Azizov worked as a head of the chair. During his leadership of the chair a young specialist D. Isoev was hired. During this period with pride defended their doctoral dissertations A.B. Badalov and V. Marufi, and M. Ikromov defended his doctoral dissertation.

In 1992 the head of the department was elected doctor of chemical sciences, professor A.B. Badalov, who continued his fruitful activity until 2003. During this period young teachers came to work at the department: M. Islomova, H.A. Zoirov, G.K. Ruzmatova and S. Mirzoeva. Under the leadership of Badalov A.B. the teaching staff of the department has achieved great success and the young teachers D. Isoev, M. Islomova, B. Safurov, S. Rajabov defended their doctoral dissertations.

From 2003 to 2012, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor D. Sharipov was elected Head of the Department. During the leadership of D. Sharipov at the chair young teachers H.A. Zoirov, D.K. Khakimova, under the guidance of Professor A.B. Badalov defended their PhD theses.

Since 2013 to the present the chair is headed by Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor H.A. Zoirov.

There are 8 teachers, including one doctor of chemical sciences, professor, correspondent member of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, three candidates of chemical sciences, associate professors; two candidates of chemical sciences, senior lecturer; one candidate of chemical sciences, assistant; head of the laboratory, laboratory assistant and operator.

The Department has three research laboratories: X-ray, Calorimetry, Tensimetry. The scientific theme of the department is "Research and study of thermal and thermodynamic characteristics of compounds".

The department cooperates with scientists and staff of the Agency for Nuclear and Radiation Safety of the National Academy of Sciences, the Nikitin Institute of Chemistry, and the Institute of Physics and Technology of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Nikitin, National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan, departments of Tajik National University, Research Institute at Tajik National University, Faculty of Chemistry at Tajik Shokhtemur Agrarian University, Department of Chemistry at Tajik Pedagogical University named after S.
