Aliev Jamshed Nasridinovich
Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department
The department (first name "Descriptive Geometry and Drawing") is one of the first departments of the Tajik Technical University named after M.S. Osimi (TPI), which was founded in December 1956. Alexander Ivanovich Loktaev was the first head of the department.
One of the first teachers of the department was Mahmudov J.S. At the beginning of 60s Kabaloeva M., Bugaenko M.G., Sevbo L.A., Sanginova S.N., Dzhuraev T.K., Hamralieva S.M. and Vahobov M. began their teaching activity at the department.
In 1972, I.L. Savchenko was appointed head of the department, which unfolded educational and methodological work and regular maintenance of the material and technical base of the department. The department was replenished with a number of models, educational boards, details of machines and mechanisms and geometric shapes, which are still widely used by teachers and students.
In 1975 Dzhuraev T.K. was appointed head of the department. In 2008-2011, Candidate of Technical Sciences Rakhmonov K.A. headed the department.
After the proclamation of independence of the Republic of Tajikistan at the Department continue their teaching activities Dzhuraev T.K., Finkelstein L.T., Saidmurodova M.D, Karomatulloeva Z.K., Aliev J.N., Abdurahmonova G.A., Niyazov Z.S., Zaripov A.H., Gadoev S.A., Nazirov Y.G., Kurbanov B.M., Samiev T.M., Narzulloev Z.F., Muminov A.K., Niyozov H.H. and operator Salimova G.A.
From 2014 to 2018 and up to the present time the head of the department is candidate of technical science, associate professor Aliev J.N.
In 2018, the proposal of the department to rename it to "Engineering and Computer Graphics" was approved by the Academic Council of TTU named after academician M.S. Osimi.

Currently, the department has 3 Ph.D., assistant professor, 3 Ph.D., senior lecturers, and 1 Ph.D., assistant professor. Another teacher is on the verge of defending his PhD thesis. The lecturers of the department "Engineering and Computer Graphics" from the beginning of their work have prepared more than 130 manuals for individual student assignments, as well as teaching aids and textbooks.
On the initiative of Tajik Technical University named after M.S. Osimi in cooperation with the Guangzhou Institute of Electronic Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Union of Chinese Writers, Zhong Xinhua Educational and Technological Company (Beijing) and the Archaeological and Cultural Center of Beijing University on the basis of the department "Engineering and Computer Graphics" at the Tajik Technical University named after Acad. M.S. Osimi was opened a laboratory of 3D printing, which allows you to create on a computer three-dimensional model of any product and in the shortest time to get a finished physical object with the appropriate parameters.
Objectives of the department:
Following the traditions of engineering education, to preserve the classical school of teaching descriptive geometry and engineering graphics and to improve it with modern possibilities of computer graphics.
The main goal of the department:
To improve the teaching and research process while maintaining and increasing the number of senior faculty.
Development of engineering skills and design activities of first-year students to master engineering and computer graphics, which contributes to the professional formation of promising graduates of technical fields, the development of their spatial imagination, design advancement, thinking and intelligence, as well as direct contact with senior technical subjects.
