Tajik Technical University named after academician M.S.Osimi

The department "Hydraulic structures and protection of water resources" was created by the decision of the Academic Council of the Technical University of Tajikistan named after M.S. Osimi dated May 31, 2021, protocol No. 12 at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture. Currently, there are two specialties at the department "Hydraulic structures and protection of water resources": "Construction and operation of hydroelectric power plants" and "Rational use and protection of water resources".

Each of these specialties has great prospects both today and in the future, since the main source of renewable and green energy in the country is hydropower, and the rational use of water potential is in the first place.

Department of "Hydraulic structures and protection of water resources" of the Tajik Technical University named after M.S. Osimi provides training for higher education specialists in full-time, part-time and part-time forms of education:

• 1- 700401-03 - "Construction and operation of hydroelectric power plants" (bachelor's degree);
• 1-700403-04 - "Rational use and protection of water resources" (bachelor's degree);
• 1-700401-03B - "Construction and operation of hydroelectric power plants" (master)
• 1-700401-03A - "Construction and operation of hydroelectric power plants" (correspondence and second higher education)

Achievements of the department:

The department has a laboratory "Modeling in Construction", equipped with computers and design tools, in which teachers, doctoral students, undergraduates and students regularly engage in research and independent work.

In the above areas, under the guidance of Doctor of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Amirzoda O.Kh. and Candidates of Technical Sciences Kalandarbekov I.I. and Maramov M.B. A large number of studies have been carried out, as a result of which 2 scientific dissertations, 1 monograph, 5 patents, hundreds of articles and teaching materials have been published. The results of the scientific work of the department are being introduced into construction organizations, hydraulic structures and water resources.

Teachers and students of the department took an active part in the competition of university inventors, presented a device for preliminary and non-irritating water purification of high turbidity and a physical model of hydraulic structures.

The department conducts research work on the following topics and areas: building mechanics, hydraulic engineering and building mechanics, hydraulic engineering and construction and structures and systems and engineering networks.

The department prepares engineers in the field of hydraulics and rational use of water resources. These specialties are one of the necessary and important specialties in construction, operation of hydraulic structures and rational use of water resources in the country today and in the future, as well as one of the most demanded areas of the labor market of the country and region. and peace.

The number of teachers of the department - 6 people, including: with the title - 3 people. Many teachers of the department are successful in public life and hold various administrative positions at the university.
