The department has laboratories equipped with computers and a student research laboratory (scientific director, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor Yunusov N.I.) in which students regularly carry out their independent work and are engaged in scientific research. Scientific directions of student work are devoted to automated control systems, monitoring and diagnostics of industrial facilities.

Under the guidance of Ph.D., associate professors Unusov N.I. and Jalolov U.H. a large number of studies were carried out, according to the results of which 3 theses were defended, 2 monographs were written, 3 patents were obtained, hundreds of articles were written and other educational materials were presented. The results of the scientific work of the department are being introduced at industrial enterprises, in the production of building materials, in transport and in the agricultural industry.

The teachers and students of the department actively participate in the competitions of the inventors of the university and present there modern technical systems, including a robotic arm for production needs, a 3D printer, an information stand with a real-time clock, a drip irrigation control panel based on fuzzy logic, a research stand for diagnostics of the cooling system of internal combustion engines, software and hardware stands for automated control of technological processes using artificial intelligence systems.

The department conducts research on the following topics and areas: intelligent automated control systems, automated control systems for technological processes, identification and management of bioecological processes, the use of geographic information systems for monitoring glaciers and land cadastre.

Graduates of the department are engaged in the implementation and use of modern computer technologies and systems management in all industries and are in demand in the modern labor market. They can occupy the following positions: industrial process automation engineer, software engineer, electronics engineer, systems engineer.

	The process of preparing a research bench for an internal combustion engine for carrying out research work with an engine cooling system is underway. Applicant Senior Assistant Ziyoev Sh.Sh.
	Candidate of Technical Sciences, Head of the Department of ATP P Bandishoeva R.M. conducts lectures on the course "Modeling of systems and processes" with students.
	Doctoral student of the department Amirshoev Sh.A. conducts research with the electronic circuit developed by him.
	Participants of the research laboratory under the leadership of Ph.D., associate professor Unusov N.I. improve the robot control program.
	Senior students of the department under the leadership of Ph.D., associate professor Nabiev S.A. improve the work of the robotic arm.
	The robot actuators activate various parts of the robot to ensure correct and precise control of these organs. Classes on this topic are conducted by Ph.D., associate professor Jalolov U.H.

The department "Automation of technological processes and production" (ATP and P) is a structural subdivision of the faculty of "Information and communication technologies" of the Tajik Technical University named after academician M.S. Osimi, which was founded at the division of the department "Automated information processing and control systems" at the suggestion of the academic council of the faculty on the basis of the decision of the academic council of the university under No. 12 of 02.06. .2018. and the order of the Rector of the University of August 27, 2018 No. 1019-3 / 4.

The main activity of the department "Automation of technological processes and production" is the management of various technological processes and production based on modern computer technologies and artificial intelligence systems, which includes the development of modern automatic control systems. A lot of research has been done in this area. The results of the scientific work of the department are being introduced at industrial enterprises: in the production of building materials, transport and agriculture. The department prepares specialists for work in the field of automation of technological processes and production, information technology and management in technical systems, means and technologies for designing intelligent systems in the following specialties:

• 1-530107 - information Technology and Management in Technical Systems (Bachelor's, Master's);
• 1-400301-02 – intelligent computer technologies for information protection (bachelor's degree);
• 1-400301-05 – tools and technologies for designing intelligent systems (bachelor's degree).
