Tajik Technical University named after academician M.S.Osimi

In 1966, at the Tajik Polytechnic Institute (TPI) (now the Tajik Technical University named after Academician M.S. Osimi), the Department of «Economics and organization of production» was organized to train engineers in the specialty 1725 - «Economics and organization of road transport». Administratively, it was located at the Road (now Management and Transport Communications) faculty.

The first, department was headed by candidate of technical sciences, associate professor Fathidinov Boypochcho Rahimovich. The first graduation was made in 1972. 19 students successfully graduated from the TPI and received the qualification of an engineer-economist in road transport. Among the first graduates, one can single out Ashurov A. - the former Minister of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan, doctor of economic sciences, professor Boboev O. - director of the Institute of Economics and Demography of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan, Rahimov N. - former deputy chairman of administration of the Oktyabrsky district (I. Somoni ) of Dushanbe city and many others who successfully work at various enterprises and organizations of the republic.

From the moment the department was organized and to the present, the heads of this department were doctor of economic sciences, professor Jumaev J.J., associate professor Alikariev S., doctor of economic sciences, professor Boboev O., doctor of economic sciences, prof. Rajabov R. In 1989, after the division of the Department of «EandОP», the Department of «Economics, Organization and Management in Road Transport» (EOandM in RT) was formed, and then in 1993, on the basis of the Department of EOandM in RT, the Departments of «Economics and Management in Transport» (EandMT) and «Organization of transportation and management of transport" (OTMT) were formed. And now, according to the decision of the academic council of the University of January 25, 2016, the department was renamed to "Economics and Transport Logistics". Since 1972 to 2021 department graduated 1548 engineers-economists of the transport industry.

Currently, the department has: 2 professors, 4 associate professors, 3 senior teachers, 4 assistants; 1 secretary - operator. The full staff of the department is given below:

The Department of «Economics and Transport Logistics» graduates specialists in two specialties:

1-270101-02 – «Economics and organization of production in road transport»;

1-260203-23 – « Logistics»;

1-270101-07 – «Economics and organization of production (air transport)»;

1-270101-03 – «Economics and organization of production (road facilities)».

There are laboratories «Economics, planning, marketing, statistics and management in transport and in the road facilities» at the department.

The department trains graduate students in the specialty 08.00.05 - «Economics and management of the national economy: economics, organization and management of enterprises, industries, complexes (transport)». Currently, Uroqov M.M., Rajabov E.D., Muhamedova Sh.S., Shodiev Sh.K. are performing their dissertations for candidate in the department.

Postgraduate students and applicants are engaged in research work under the guidance of doctors of sciences Boboev O.B., Rajabov R.K., Hamroev F.M., Khojaev P.D. and candidates of sciences Azimov P.Kh., Mirzobekov Kh.D., Amonulloev I.A. During the period of their activity, the following graduate students and applicants successfully defended their dissertations at the department:

Currently, the department is conducting state budget research work on the topic «Formation and development of transport services in the Republic of Tajikistan» and «Ensuring the competitiveness of business structures of the transport industry of the Republic of Tajikistan».

At the department, a special place is given to writing scientific and scientific - methodological works. The total amount of published works is more than 2000 pp.

The department has close ties with the State Academy of Management, Moscow Road Institute (MRI /TU/), Siberian Road Institute (SibRI), Tashkent Road Institute (TRI), Kiev Road Institute (KRI), Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan (AS RT), Engineering Academy of the Republic of Tajikistan (IA RT), State Committee of the Republic of Tajikistan for Standardization and Metrology, Tajik State University of Commerce (TSUC), Institute of Entrepreneurship and Service (IPS), Tajik State University (TSU), Institute of Economics and Demography of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan, Agency of Statistics under the President RT and with all enterprises and organizations of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The department conducts research work with students. For this purpose, the student scientific society "Naqliyot" has been created and is functioning under the guidance of leading teachers. There is a scientific seminar at the department. Teachers of the department constantly participate in the work of international, republican and university conferences.

Коллектив кафедры на договорной основе принял участие в разработке «Схем развития и размещения транспортной системы республики на период до 2000 года», «Совершенствовании транспортного обслуживания в городах Душанбе, Ходженте и Курган-Тюбе», «Повышении эффективности работы автобусов на пригородных и междугородных маршрутах республики и решении проблем ресурсосбережения на транспорте».

The staff of the department on a contractual basis took part in the development of «Schemes for the development and placement of the transport system of the republic for the period up to 2000», «Improving transport services in the cities of Dushanbe, Khujand and Qurgan-Teppa», «Improving the efficiency of buses on suburban and intercity routes of the republic and solving the problems of resource saving in transport».

Кафедра принимает активное участие в открытии новых специальностей с учетом нужд республики. В связи с переходом на многоуровневую систему подготовки кадров нами разработаны рабочие программы и учебный план для специальности: 1-260203-23 – «Логистика» (открыт 2013 году); 1-270101-07 – «Экономика и организация производства (воздушный транспорт)» (открыт 2017 году); 1-270101-03 – «Экономика и организация производства (дорожное хозяйство)» (открыт 2017 году).

The department takes an active part in the opening of new specialties, taking into account the needs of the republic. In connection with the transition to a multi-level system of personnel training, we have developed work programs and a curriculum for the specialty: 1-260203-23 - «Logistics» (opened in 2013);                            1-270101-07 - «Economics and organization of production (air transport)» (opened in 2017); 1-270101-03 - «Economics and organization of production (road facilities)» (opened in 2017).

The department has repeatedly become the winner of various university competitions and has been awarded with valuable gifts. The staff of the department actively participates in all ongoing events across the country, Dushanbe city and the University.

Leading teachers take an active part in the development of economic concepts to bring the country's economy out of the crisis.

The staff of the department directs its activities to solve the tasks assigned to it in the preparation of highly qualified personnel.
