The department "Organization of transportation and management in transport" was established on December 24, 1991 on the basis of the department "Economics and organization in road transport". Currently, it trains specialists in the organization of transportation and management in road transport, the organization of transportation and management in railway transport and the organization of transportation and management in air transport.

In 1988, taking into account the country's need for engineering personnel in the field of organization of transportation and transport management, 26 students were admitted to the Russian group for the first time. Since 1989, on the basis of numerous requirements and agreements with organizations of road transport of various ministries and departments, 50 students of Russian and Tajik groups have been admitted to this specialty.

In those years, the department invited a number of scientists in this field from production (M. M. Kholmatov, A. Rauf, Z. Aslonov, V. Minakov) to conduct classes in individual disciplines with students.

In 1993, the first graduation of engineers in the specialty 2401 - "Organization of transportation and transport management" was made in the amount of 25 people. Among them were foreign citizens Ithoving B. and Asorgtim U., who are also currently successfully working in foreign countries.

Well-known graduates of the specialty (Aralov S.O., Narginsky S.G., Chernigov A.I., Kolesnikov S., Zakharov A., Shitov A. and others) now work not only in the Republic of Tajikistan, but also in the Russian Federation , the Republic of Uzbekistan and other republics. Some graduates of the specialty (F. Nuriddinov, B. Ibragimov, N. Ibrohimzoda, M. Kosimov, M. Narzulloeva) work in an international organization.

The first head of the department was Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor Sanginov O.K., he headed the department until 1994. From 1994 to 2006, the department was headed by candidate of economic sciences, associate professor Rakhimova R.Kh. S., from 2012 to 2021 candidate of technical sciences, associate professor Salomzoda R.S. and since 2021, this responsible position has been occupied by Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Jalilov U.Zh.

After the accession of the former Tajik Institute of Transport to the Tajik Technical University named after Academician M.S. Osimi joined the department two more specialties:

1-440103 - "Organization of transportation and management in railway transport."

1-440105-02- "Organization of transportation and management in air transport."

The introduction of new specialties raised a number of questions for the department. This also applied to the training of qualified personnel. The leadership of the department together with scientists Radjabov R.K. and Khodzhaev P.D. and others, a number of issues related to the strengthening of the staff of the department are considered. In particular, in 2017 - Jalilov U.Zh., in 2018 - Nazhmudinov F.N., in 2019 - Radjabov A.A. and Ismoilov M.I. and 2020 - Yunusov F.M. defended their dissertation and received the degree of candidate of economic and technical sciences. At the same time, in 2020, the teacher of the department Fohakov A.S. defended his doctoral dissertation and received the degree of doctor of technical sciences. Currently, graduates of the department Jalilov U.Zh., Yunusov F.M., Radjabov A.A., Ismoilov M.I., Mirzoeva N.Sh., Shodiev Sh.K., Nazhmudinov F.N., Gafurov F. J. and Akramov S.S. carry out pedagogical and scientific activities.

Over the past five years, teachers of the department have published more than 120 scientific articles and abstracts, as well as 25 methodological works.

The department cooperates with the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Transport Control Service of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan, the State Automobile Inspectorate, SUE "Avtobus-1", SUE "Avtobus-2". ”, State Unitary Enterprise “Bus-3”, State Unitary Enterprise “Transport Expedition”, Auto Shop No. 2 of the Tajik Aluminum Plant, State Unitary Enterprise “Tajik Railways”, State Unitary Enterprise “Somon Air”, OJSC “Dushanbe International Airport”, OJSC “International Airport Khujand”, OJSC "International Airport Kulyab" and others, where we signed cooperation agreements, students are doing practice.

With the support of the leadership of the Tajik Technical University named after academician M.S. Osimi and the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tatarstan in 2010 at the department opened a course for operators selling air tickets, the first of which 15 students successfully completed the course and received a certificate.

The department actively participates in scientific conferences of students and teachers, and students and teachers of the department have repeatedly received awards based on the results of scientific work. The performed scientific works correspond to the specialties of the direction 1-4401 - "Organization of transportation and transport management".

The department has 17 teachers, including one doctor of technical sciences, associate professor, two candidates of economic sciences, associate professor, one candidate of technical sciences, associate professor, two candidates of economic sciences, and.v. associate professor, two candidates of economic sciences, senior lecturer, one candidate of technical sciences, senior lecturer, five senior lecturers and three assistants.

The department conducts laboratory classes on the subject "Information technologies in transport" in the computer class of the faculty, equipped with 60 computers. Laboratory classes on "Passenger transportation" are also held on urban passenger routes, which improves the quality of education and the integration of the university with production.

During its activity, the Department of Organization of Transportation and Transport Management has established a good level of cooperation with scientific institutions, public organizations, industrial enterprises, scientific institutes in the field of transport of the country and abroad.

Since 2014, the department has become a member of the International Academy of Transport of the Russian Federation and has established fruitful cooperation with this organization in holding international conferences and symposiums, preparing and presenting transport development projects, research and other activities.

Within the framework of cooperation with the International Transport Academy, the department took an active part in organizing and holding many international events, and specialists and scientists were awarded honorary medals and diplomas of the International Transport Academy.

The department conducts scientific, methodological and research work with MADI, St. Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation, Tajik Engineering Academy, Research Institute "Transport", the Ministry of Transport and its subdivisions, city and district transport departments, and executive authorities. Mutually beneficial cooperation was also established by the State Unitary Enterprise "Tajik Railways", JSC "Dushanbe International Airport" and others. Two teachers of the department - Salomzoda R.S. and Fohakov A.S. accepted as corresponding members of the Engineering Academy of Tajikistan.

Over the past five years, teachers of the department have published 8 monographs, 25 textbooks, 120 scientific articles and theses.

Two teachers of the department, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Fohakov A.S. and candidate of medical sciences, senior lecturer Nizomzoda F.N. obtained four patents.

Scientific works presented by the teachers of the department Fohakov A.S., Jalilov U.Zh., Radjabov A.A., Ismoilov M.I., Yunusov F.M. and Nizomzoda F.N. are constantly used in the production and educational process.

Currently, one applicant and three graduate students are studying at the department, the dissertation of which is at the final stage.

As noted, the computer class at the department is used to conduct laboratory classes on the discipline of information technology in transport, and laboratory classes on the subject of passenger transportation are conducted directly on urban passenger routes.

An innovation center was put into operation at the faculty, which is available to teachers and students of the department, and it hosts all educational, scientific and educational events organized by teachers and students of the department.
